President's Welcome Message It gives me great pride and pleasure to welcome you all to our website of Tamu Dhee London Branch, I sincerely hope that it will be a great source of information, interaction and a gateway to keeping in touch between our members, community and well wishers throughout the world. I thank the team for unveiling this very important web project. Tamu Dhee London Branch was established on 30th September 2007 in London amongst our loyal tamu (Gurung) members. I thank each and every one of you for electing me as a Chairman and giving me an opportunity to serve this wonderful community. One year has gone by now and I am sure that we have achieved a lot during this period but still there is a long way to go ahead to fulfil our goal. Once again I here like to express my sincere thanks to my committee, all members and well wishers for your great support and help. Without your help this great achievement would not be possible. At present, we are very far away from our homeland in a completely different society, culture and environment. It is therefore, the importance of “Tamu Dhee London Branch” is imperative and cannot be more emphasized. It is even more crucial at this transitional period, where our families and children are arriving into this western culture and society for the first time. Whatever the circumstances we may face to settle in a safe, friendly and tolerant society, we have to maintain our tradition and preserve our culture and values with pride. I look forward to serving you and the community with my utmost effort. I also look forward to receiving your much appreciated support to run the branch even more successfully.
